Tis the Season for Scarves
Fall is all about accessories. Wearing a fabulous hat or scarf, can be the difference between an average outfit, and one that everyone lusts over.
Unlike typical scarves, when we think of the more fashion forward handkerchief scarf our minds immediately go to cowboys and flight attendants. At least, this was my perception of a bandana/handkerchief/silk scarf prior to this season. When getting dressed in the morning the typical woman is not trying to embody a cowboy riding their most prized bucking bronco. However, why not embody a fashionable, confident, Parisian woman roaming the streets of Paris.
When I think of Paris, I think of the Eiffel Tower, the amazing shopping, the macarons, and unforgettable fashion. Women in Paris don't believe in over accessorizing, wearing too much makeup, or bright colors, but they do believe in the right to wear the perfect silk scarf. And I for one, have to agree with them. After all, Parisians have been rocking this trend since probably before McDonald's was established in America.
Every year when Fall and Winter come around, we all bring out our favorite scarves, and by scarves I mean thick, most likely wool or cashmere, soft, comforting, warmth inducing scarves. But trends are ever changing. So instead of wearing your largest wrap scarf this season, invest in a luscious, colorful, silk scarf that will make more of a fashion statement than any other scarf you have ever owned. Pair this statement piece with a t-shirt and jeans, or dress it up with your favorite cocktail dress and pumps. Either way, you'll be feeling more fashionable and dressing like your inner Parisian in no time.
