Bomber Jacket Obsessed
From the second bomber jackets were reincarnated into the fashion world, I have been in love and non-stop searching for the perfect one. Thankfully, about a month ago, I found it. Not only is it beautiful, and fits like perfection, but it was on SALE!
And for you women out there, you know that there is nothing better than finding that one piece you've been searching for and it being a great price and your size. So obviously I had to buy it. Ever since I found this jacket, I have been anxiously awaiting for the weather to get cooler so I could break this baby out for the world to see... And ever since since Thanksgiving Mother Nature has granted us Texans with the gift of an actual winter! So how many times have I worn this jacket? Sadly only once, but for that one day I felt more hip and edgy than I ever have in my entire life.
But enough about my obsession with this trend. Instead, lets talk about why bomber jackets are suddenly so popular again. I believe it has to do with these 3 major factors:
1. They are comfortable, without looking sloppy. A great alternative to a winter coat when you live somewhere like Texas, that doesn't get insanely cold.
2. They were a huge staple in the wardrobe of men and women in the 60's and 70's. Much like bell bottom jeans, so many styles from this time period are coming back with a vengeance.
3. Celebrities are rocking these babies left and right. Why? Because they can not only be found at lower end stores like Zara and Forever21, but high end designers like Saint Laurent and Vince are reinventing this vintage item.
But my favorite thing about these jackets, is a good majority of them come in olive green. And if you haven't figured it out yet, I love olive green, maybe more than I love the bomber jacket trend. So if you don't own one of these jackets yet, I suggest you invest in one ASAP. If I can close the purchase, so can you!
