Saint Patty's Day

Saint Patrick's Day is right around the corner, and you know what that means... soon, we will all have to bust out that hideous, obnoxious, bright green that we shove in the back of out closets, and only break out one day a year - Saint Patricks Day. Green (unless we're talking about olive/army green) is not my color, so I have basically only one green piece for this drunken holiday, cause ain't nobody trying to get pinched. And if you've met my family - they are relentless pinchers on this holiday. It's like because we're half Irish, it is sacrilege to not celebrate this day one way or another.

But for me, this holiday has never really seemed that special to me. Don't get me wrong, I love a good beer, drunkenly running up and down streets, and a good bar/pub crawl, but I would rather do it on any other day of the year, partly because of the annoying green, but mostly because this holiday brings out the crazies. All of the parades and celebrations and the overwhelming amount of green tacky clothing/accessories, seems to bring out crazy, overly drunk people for one day, that simply can't seem to hold their beer, and that's just not a holiday I can get behind, sadly.

But, just because I don't enjoy this holiday, doesn't mean all of you out there can't! For any of you heading to Saint Patty's Day bashes, parades, parties, block parties, etc. over the next week, I have come up with some green clothing investments that don't scream "Kiss Me I'm Irish!" and are well, much more tasteful.
