Lookalikes - High vs. Low End
If I had all the money in the world, I would totally own everything designer. From shoes, to clothing, to nail polish, everything around me would scream "holy s***, I'm expensive." But, I am the furthest thing from rich. When it comes to clothes, 90% of the stuff I like is way out of my price range - this is what I like to call champagne taste on a beer budget, like super cheap beer... think Keystone or Natty Light. So, what is my solution to this seemingly never ending, unresolvable issue of wanting to be able to purchase all of the gorgeous designer items I want? Well, unless a fairy godmother magically appears and gifts me with one hell of a sugar daddy, my solution is t0 either 1. not buy it, 2. try and forget about it ever existing, 3. look for a high quality, lesser designer lookalike, or 4. desperately pray it goes way, way, WAY on sale.
When we think of lookalikes, 9 times out of 10 you probably immediately think of a knock off. Essentially, this means the production of fake high end designer goods in a pretty darn tacky, inexpensive, low quality manner (ex: Louis Vuitton knock offs can be found almost everywhere). And lets be real, they RARELY look anything like the real thing (if you know what to look for), and this already crappy product was most likely produced in a sweat shop in China. Lookalikes on the other hand, are when lesser designers mimic high end designer clothing, shoes, or accessories, without breaking any trademark laws at a much cheaper price. What is the best thing about these lookalikes? Well, obviously the cheaper price, but they are also much better quality than any knock off AND they last a lot longer.
So today, I thought I would show all of you lovely readers some of the best lookalike products on the market today. While the difference in the high and low end products aren't that major, the price difference will definitely blow your mind. It almost makes not being able to afford designer clothes less horrible (almost, but not quite)!
