"Athleisure"

I'm not into working out... basically I just really hate sweating. I understand we all need to exercise, but I tend to put it off at all costs. For instance, as I am writing this, it is a beautiful day outside and I should probably go for a run. Will I? Nope. Instead, I will most likely be chilling in comfy clothes all day, I will definitely catch up on my TV shows and Netflix, and maybe even exercise my credit card (meaning shopping)!

Having to be dressed up all week is sometimes fun, and other times it is just plain stressful and difficult, much like working out on a regular basis. So when it comes to the weekend, or any day I have off, I get incredibly excited to break out my favorite jeans, or better yet... workout clothes or anything resembling athleisure! Athleisure has all of a sudden taken the fashion world by storm. For years we have all been wearing leggings, spandex, tennis shoes, and workout tops/jackets to run errands in and workout in. However, it wasn't really until Kanye broke into the fashion scene that "athleisure" was actually considered a cool, trendy, fashion statement. The second the Yeezy line hit the market, celebrities such as the Kardashian and Jenner sisters, Bella and Gigi Hadid, Rhianna, Selena Gomez, Beyonce, and Kate Hudson, have rocked athleisure up and down the streets of LA, looking way better than I ever have in my leggings, but come on... they're all #goals.

Now I personally hate Kanye with a capital H, but if there is one thing I am grateful to him for... it is for making my lazy weekend attire socially acceptable again. If you don't know what I am talking about, I'm talking about brands such as Nike, Adidas, Lululemon, Athleta, Zella, Yeezy, Puma, and really any other one that makes anything slightly athletic! Did this trend ever really leave the fashion scene? No, but it is certainly more popular than ever, especially outside of the gym. If you aren't already pumped about this, then you really need to hop on the athleisure train immediately.
